Mark Murray, MD specializes in primary care medicine and management of primary care services with an emphasis on improving waits and delays for access to care and improving efficiency in ancillary support services such as laboratory, radiology, optometry and audiology.

Mark has 25 years experience in primary care medicine and in the development and management of primary care services. His consulting engagements have included primary care improvement initiatives for medical groups, hospitals and healthcare systems throughout the U.S. and in Europe. He has been co-chair of the Institute for Healthcare Improvement's National Collaborative on Medical Office Access and Efficiency.

Mark has presented approaches for improving primary care services at the 4th European Quality Conference in Stockholm and at conferences at the AMGA, MGMA, American Academy of Family Medicine, the Mayo Clinic, Dartmouth, the New York Health and Hospitals Corporation and the American Academy of University Health Centers.

Mark has been assistant chief of medicine and director of operations for Kaiser Permanente in Roseville, California serving an enrollment of 250,000 in seven sites where he integrated four previously separate departments into a unified service and implemented an innovative approach to managing demand while improving cost effectiveness and customer satisfaction. In other positions within Kaiser, Mark has been physician team leader in an ambulatory clinic, director of a specialty clinic and director of patient education. Previously, he developed and managed rural primary care centers.

Mark received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Creighton University, completed his residency in family medicine at the University of California at Davis and a masters degree in Public Administration from St. Mary's College. Mark is Board-certified in family practice.
